Pamper and Play

Does your dog love a good pampering and brushing session as well as playing with other dogs, have energy to boot or just loves being around people?  Maybe you have a friendly, active dog, and you just don’t have as much time as you would like, to devote to his grooming routine, exercise and social regime. Ever come home exhausted from a long day at work and your fur kid greets you with his wagging tail asking for a brush, a walk or a play? He could be an ideal candidate for our Pamper and Play. ‘Pamper and Play’ may seem crazy to some but to devoted dog lovers it may be the answer to their prayers. Long or short fur, they all need a good brush on a regular basis and deserve a little pamper and a whole lot of play.

There are so many benefits of regular ‘Pamper and Play’ sessions. Boredom, lack of stimulation both physically and mentally can lead to destructive behaviour. Chewing, digging, biting and barking usually top the list of these inappropriate behaviours but then there is also anxiety, anti-social behaviour as well health and weight issues in some cases. ‘Pamper ad Play’, even once or twice a week, can be the perfect outlet for your dog’s energy, not to mention the mental stimulation and the social aspect.

We offer a professional service where your pet can be provided with stimulation, exercise, and socialisation, not to mention the extra cuddles and attention. Your pet’s first day will be used as a personality and behaviour assessment day. Generally dogs are a social species and love interaction and stimulation with other dogs but this is not always the case. It is important for us to assess their behaviour and interactions with other dogs to make sure that doggy day care is the right place for your dog and where in our facility is best for them to thrive. In some cases, it can make the world of difference and a once anxious, timid or anti-social dog can become a more confident, outgoing and social dog and in others it can make them worse. We assess your dog and decide where and with who they will get the most benefits out of their experience. For the more timid or senior dogs, we do have quieter areas that can cater to those who perhaps just need and want a little extra human attention rather than dog attention.

Your dog will be supervised at all times, in fact our aim is to get to know your dog so well that we can cater programs and games to your dog and encourage playtime with personalities that will match your dogs. Our staff all have a broad knowledge of dog behaviours and basic training skills to help prevent any incidents from occurring. We aim to provide a high standard of service for as well as attention to detail. We will always let you know if we have any concerns, no matter how big or small they may be.

Our Doggy Day Care and Grooming Salon offers a safe and supervised environment where dogs can be play and be groomed. Our facility is air-conditioned, with veterinarian grade, non-slip flooring. We use veterinarian grade disinfectants and cleaning agents including F10 which is bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, sporicidal and we have strict cleaning policies and practices in place each day so you can be assured your pet is in a healthy environment. We also provide fresh clean water and flea free beds and spaces for quiet time, should they want some time out or a nap or maybe just to lounge on while taking in one of our many Dog movies – yep, we even have Dog movies!

We understand that life sometimes gets in the way of managing the routines that dogs need, which is why when you bring your pet to The Pet Pad, each dog will recieve a lovely brush through or moulting mit massage and a spritze of coat deoderiser as part of their Pamper and Play date with us. We also check their nails, ears and other grooming needs and can add these services on (at an extra cost) whenever needed. When you pick up your fur kids after work, your pets will leaving feeling pampered and hopefully tired! All dogs must have a submitted doggy day care application form prior to their first ‘Pamper and Play’ session.
